"Let me just start by saying that I love my new boots. They fit perfectly, are very comfortable, look great, are reasonably water resistant, and promise to be much more durable than the boots I've worn in the past. These are keepers.
But it didn't start out that way, and I have JK's brilliant customer service to thank. I received my JK OT's in Bison leather on December 8, 2025 after spending about a day looking at several brands. I used the sizing tool they published to order the right size, and when the boots arrived, they felt snug but not any more than I would expect for a new pair of leather boots. I added the provided insoles. I called JK to confirm that the fit was not too tight; one of the helpful comments I heard was, "It should feel like a firm handshake." That described my new boots well, so I decided to keep them. They were broken in in about 10 days.
After about three weeks, I began to notice an issue with the right boot. The left boot felt perfect, but the right boot started to cause pain in my heel. I considered that maybe the insole was making the boot too tight, so I removed it, and while this helped at first, the pain in my heel was still a problem.
When I described this problem to JK, they responded right away. They gave me some suggestions to try, which I did. (For example, I used a boot stretcher on the right boot.) But when none of those ideas helped, they initiated a replacement. The second pair arrived at the end of January, and I could tell right away that the fit was (is) perfect. Both new boots felt great, broke in in about 10 days, and have become my all-day everyday footwear. I've been wearing them since the first of February. Within 30 minutes of putting them on, I don't even notice they're there.
I would heartily recommend JK Boots -- both the boots themselves and the company that makes and back them -- to anyone looking for high-quality, durable, great-looking boots. I expect to wear these OTs for a long time."

"High quality bootmaker/boots. 2nd day wearing them and can already tell you they are going to stand the test of time. I’ve always been a Wesco boot user for years due to requiring a high quality boot for the power line industry, but these JK boots already start very comfortable and the break in won’t be as bad even with thicker leather. The way they are shaped and stitched for a “stock” boot make them form to your feet more comfortably and sooner. As well as the boots are high quality, so is JK’s customer service. I was fixing to purchase another pair of Wescos but never heard back from them for weeks and still currently. JK on the other hand had updated me the second I purchased them from eta, shipping, and I even had a change I wanted to make and they responded the same day! Damn good quality boot company at a fair price as well. Keep up the good work, definitely made 1 more loyal user/customer."

"I haven't quite decided (97% there) if I require a further increase in width. The first pair I ordered was in accordance with a previous sizing method, which was not accurate, and has since been changed by JK. The return/exchange was simple, and work began on a new pair as soon as the first was received by JK. I have since received the second, wider pair, and have been more or less satisfied with how the feel so far (around the house.) The tongue guards somewhat dig into the top of my feet, but I also have the laces wrenched to the max, or could simply not use the guards/wait for them to break in. 5/5
With regard to the sizing issue, as mentioned, JK seems to have already addressed it (no longer require the customer to measure foot circumference for "accurate" sizing.) I would agree with the current suggestion on the JK website that: "Our boots run narrow. For standard fit, order EE width." I have never worn anything other than EE for boots, sneakers, (swim flippers?), and so on. The pair I'm likely sticking with, are not EE, but E (but I do prefer my boots fairly snug.) 4/5
I have absolutely no arch to my feet, and would generally require custom orthotics to prevent back problems. The orthotic however, would often bust out the sidewall of the upper and ruin the boot. JK boots would appear to solve this by making an insanely robust arch support (as it pertains to the last used for Superduty construction.) 5/5
Lastly, the customer service was excellent in terms of promptness in replies, politeness in interactions, and knowledge of what would best be suited for my intended use and odd feet. 5/5"

"Dealing with ordering almost anything nowadays can be absolutely daunting, especially something as specific as boots, without trying them on, & what most would consider to have a fairly high price tag…
BUT not only are JK boots one of the last bastions of True 100% hand crafted, high Quality goods, built with intention, and attention to detail, actually still made in America, they are ABSOLUTELY the BEST quality anywhere. I cannot express enough how unbelievably quality these boots are - even watching their “How it’s made” style videos on YouTube are like ASMR for anyone who enjoys serious craftsmanship & quality. You will NOT be disappointed if you go ahead and make the decision to buy.
Also, another HUGE factor: their real, HUMAN, Customer service Department - it’s the most refreshing part! They are available to you well before you make a purchase, and are there & helpful for every step of the way. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience in dealing with JK boots customer service, especially this day in age when even something as serious as your banking needs rarely have a real, live human person that you can communicate with, how’s knowledgable on the topics you are dealing with, to answer any questions, reassure and make sure that your custom shipping and delivery needs are met, or just make any changes. For as great as JK Boots craftsmanship & materials of quality are - their customer service absolutely matches or even possibly exceeds it - I repeat, dealing with JK Boots has been an absolute pleasure, A genuine breath of fresh air!
