“I absolutely love these boots!“

★★★★★

"I had always wanted a pair of Pacific Northwest style logging boots but was always worried about sizing and how they would feel underfoot, so I put off buying a pair for a long time. I finally decided to make the plunge in December of 2022 and immediately was overwhelmed with all the different options, all the different brands, and was worried about sizing. I picked JK for a number of reasons - all of the JK YouTube videos on sizing, how to care for them, how sizing was easy at JK, differences in heels, etc., was a big factor. Was also very impressed with the reviews from boot review channels like Rose Anvil. The clincher was when I sent the sales folks a question on sizing and got a very helpful response very quickly. I later knew I'd made the right choice when after my order I saw the video on JK's founder. He's the kind of man and the kind of family business I want to support! I choose the Honey Bison Smooth as it's just such a good looking boot and such an unusual leather. My boots showed up right at the 3.5 week mark (ahead of schedule) and fit PERFECTLY. The bison leather is so soft that I've had zero hotspots and when they say no break-in, they mean it - there's no break in! I'm wearing them right now as I type this. I really couldn't be any happier - JK is a great family company, they make a great product, and have excellent customer service. I'll be buying another pair really soon - probably an OT boot with a steel toe for work."

“Love these boots; wish they came with a boot box“

★★★★★

"Pros:
Thick bison leather; thick midsole that runs from heel to toe (unlike many JK Boots); comes with a bison tongue guard and neoprene insoles; the fit is perfect thanks to JK offering just about every length and width possible; excellent build quality; reasonably priced for a true PNW boot; one of the most aesthetically pleasing boots I've seen from JK Boots--I know they are work boots, but bonus points for being able to wear them in nice casual settings away from a worksite.
Cons:
I can't believe JK Boots come without a boot box--just the shipping box (see photos). Thus, my best boots are stored in my worst box. I understand wanting to keep prices low, but please consider adding a nice shoe box option for an reasonable extra charge. "

“Nice boot, should be a featured model“

★★★★★

"Pleasantly surprised by how much I like this boot. I wish they made it a staple they'd keep in stock. Please make it a MTO anytime, with a few custome options pls. The stitch work was all even and symmetrical. The stitchdown and sanding made a nice silhouette, compare to the shelf other brand leave in the waist. Great arch support with a lower heel then competitors. I was iffy about the tongue but after a few wears I actually think its a plus and something I love that makes me choose them over my other pairs. I sized a full size down from my brannock and up three widths from brannock. I find that the last is slightly longer and two widths narrower then ****** or *****. 11-E brannock, 10.5-EE in ******, and 10-4E in JK."

“So comfortable, and so many compliments!“

★★★★★

"I saw them, and said, “Nah, I just spent a weeks pay on my OT’s.” But the Oxbloods kept making me go back to the website and gaze at them. Again and again said nope. Finally they got me. Then I got them. They’re beautiful! And fit like a hug. Had a small problem with a protruding eyelet prong which snagged the laces on first running them through, but I was able to bend it into the leather with my thumbnail, and then they laced fine. I had three people said, “Nice boots,” or “I love your boots,” the very first time I wore them out. "

“Excellent boots“

★★★★★

"I genuinely love these boots. I find myself lovingly caressing the fuzzy rough out randomly. I know it is weird, can't stop myself. They are extremely comfortable for a pnw high arch boot right out of the gate. I have boots from three other pnw makers and despite these being middle of the pack price wise, they are my favorite. Craftsmanship is top notch, nothing out of place and a very high level of attention to detail. Turn around time on full build is literally months quicker than the others. Highly recommend!"

“WOW! Archer Canyon Bison“

★★★★★

"Ordered boots, had a long lead time but arrived 3 weeks earlier than expected. I’m in my second career teaching so on my feet all day so I wanted a comfortable boot with support. These Archers deliver on that and a lot more. The bison leather is beautiful and soft. Essentially no break in with these boot. Exceedingly comfortable and great support. Boots look great with jeans or khakis. No they aren’t inexpensive but “ you get what you pay for”. Thinking OT Bison boots in my future. Thanks JK"

“Boots don’t matter until they really matter“

★★★★★

"Took a while to appreciate what these are capable of. To be honest my next pair will be smooth leather (because rough-out attracts dust & chips like a magnet) and the OT (because I was willing to try it, but high heels are just dumb). But bottom line still, on a long hard 40F rainy day, hauling and mixing 65 bags of concrete to a remote island site solo, I realized the only thing that didn’t hurt by end of day was my feet. Like magic. "

“Fantastic! “

★★★★★

"These are my second pair of JK Boots. I got a set of cowhide OT's first which I love and these Honey Bison Super Duty are even better. I really like the full length mid sole, higher heel, and the taller 10" shaft. I have arthritis and have dealt with lots of foot pain as a result. I can wear these for 10 hours comfortably. JK Boots have been a life saver for my feet. Well worth the money! "

“Like my Jump Boots“

★★★★★

"I’m very tickled with my new boots. They remind me of my Airborne Jump Boots from decades ago, with firm support and a spacious fit.

I foresee many years of enjoying my new boots as “Go-To” boots for many activities.
The selection for occupation below doesn’t include Old Soldier and Retired Engineer. My feet have paid a price during my Career. JK Boots has made life better."

“Great boot “

★★★★★

"I replaced a pair of 10+ year old heritage redwings that deteriorated and couldn’t be repaired.

The quality of the first two pairs of jk’s exceeded any other boots I’ve had. This pair is better than the first two awesome job gents fit and finish is superior.

Thanks much for your products "

Ending Thoughts

In these reviews we not only see bison and cowhide leather that breaks in right when you lace up, but all-day comfort for feet that spend 40+ hours a week on the job, and craftsmanship to hold up long after other boots would've given out. The Archer is praised for its looks and arch support while the Honey Bison for their durability and helping with foot pain and comfort. With both of these you can trust you're getting a USA made boot built to last.
