Three New Bison Leathers Just Dropped for the Forefront 8"

We've been seeing more demand for the 8" Forefront boots for a while now. Because of this the three classic steer hide models have all been freshly restocked in the most common sizes. But that's not everything.

We're adding three new limited-run finishes in Premium Bison Leather, brand new for the 8 inch Forefront boots.

The New Bison Editions

These three colorways are available for a limited time only:

• Bison Leather - natural grain, rugged character, noticeably softer right out of the box
• Canyon Bison Smooth - refined finish with rich depth, same flexible bison feel
• Canyon Bison Smooth/Rough - a dual-texture finish that ages unlike anything else we've made

Bison hide is a little different from the standard steerhide leather. It's naturally softer and more flexible, with its own naturally rugged grain pattern. These boots break in fast and develop a patina that is unique to you.

Why The Forefront Works

If you're new to the Forefront, here's what separates it from a boot that just looks the part.

The Sole

The Vibram 4014 Christy wedge is flat, clean, and cloud-like underfoot. It's smooth to not trap any mud or sawdust, has even contact and serious shock absorption that keeps your feet, knees, and back intact after a full shift.

The Build

The flexi-design on the Forefront allows for a controlled flex at the natural movement point of the boot. This improves mobility, balance, and ground feel without sacrificing any durability. It moves with your foot on ladders, in tight spaces, and through long hours standing, kneeling, or crouching.

The 360° stitchdown construction on the welt creates an exceptionally tight seal around the boot's perimeter. It is a more water-resistant than a traditional Goodyear welt, keeping debris out of your boots.

The Materials

Every Forefront is built with premium 8-9oz oil-tanned American leather that is roughly 50% thicker than most production work boots. Tough Technora® thread rated past 900°F. Oak-tanned leather insole, midsole, and arch support. Fire-ready adhesives. Everything sourced and assembled by hand in our Spokane, WA shop.

The 8" Height

The taller shaft gives you real ankle support and stability on rough terrain without changing the responsive feel the Forefront is known for. Same lightweight platform. Same range of motion. More coverage for longer days.

Built to Be Rebuilt

When the sole wears down, we resole it. After a few years when the boot needs a full rebuild, we can do that too. This isn't a disposable boot but a boot that is built to grow with you.
